The Rio Grande Valley is getting ready for a major day of live music as the 956 Music Fest prepares to take over the Mercedes Dome – Sports Complex & Walking Trail on Saturday, November 14, 2026. Featuring a lineup of popular Tejano and regional acts, the festival promises a day of music, food, and family entertainment in the heart of the Valley.
Headlining the event are Siggno, Solido and Secretto, alongside The Delta Boyz, Grupo Atento and additional featured artists. Organizers are inviting residents and visitors from across South Texas to come together in Mercedes for a celebration of music and community.
Jesse Turner: ‘I Promise You That It’s 100% Happening’
During a press conference held Wednesday, October 14, in Mercedes, Siggno frontman Jesse Turner spoke with Tejano Nation photojournalist Isaac Castillo about the upcoming festival, addressing concerns from music fans following the recent cancellation of Frontera Fest in Harlingen, Texas, just days before the three-day event was scheduled to begin last month.
Turner emphasized that the 956 Music Fest has the support of the City of Mercedes and the Rio Grande Valley, reassuring attendees and vendors that preparations are moving forward.
“We have the full support, as you can see here, at the City of Mercedes, Texas,” Turner told Tejano Nation. “We have the support of Mercedes, Texas, and the Rio Grande Valley and the support of you guys.”
Turner confirmed the November 14 date and highlighted the festival’s musical lineup, inviting fans to join the celebration.
“We are in charge of the music, the stage, and making sure that this goes through,” Turner said. “And I promise you that it’s 100% happening here in Mercedes, Texas.”
His comments come as event cancellations can leave fans, vendors and performers uncertain about making plans. By publicly addressing those concerns, Turner sought to reassure the community that the 956 Music Fest is moving forward.
Tickets, VIP Tables and Vendor Opportunities
Turner encouraged fans to secure their tickets early, noting that admission prices and VIP options were available during the press conference.
At the time of the October 14 announcement, general admission tickets were priced at $15, while tickets offering a closer viewing experience were available for $35. Turner also said only a limited number of VIP tables remained available.

The festival is also welcoming vendors interested in participating. Turner directed prospective vendors to contact the City of Mercedes for information and assistance with arrangements.
“We’re inviting each and every one of you,” Turner said, adding that the city would help vendors with the process.
The event’s emphasis on community participation is intended to make the festival more than a concert, creating an opportunity for local businesses, families and music fans to come together.
A Day of Music for the Rio Grande Valley
The 956 Music Fest will take place at the Mercedes Dome – Sports Complex & Walking Trail, located at 1202 N. Vermont Ave. in Mercedes, Texas.
Gates open at 2 p.m., with live music beginning at 3 p.m. Families can also take advantage of the festival’s admission policy, with children 12 and under admitted free.
With performances from Siggno, Solido, Secreto, The Delta Boyz, Grupo Atento and additional artists, the festival is positioning itself as a major live-music gathering for the Rio Grande Valley.
Turner also thanked Tejano Nation for its continued support of Siggno and local Valley artists, underscoring the importance of promoting live music and keeping the region’s music culture thriving.
As the November 14 date approaches, organizers are encouraging fans to make plans, purchase tickets, and bring their friends and families to Mercedes.
