Industry Voting Opens for 46th Tejano Music Awards as November 13 Ceremony Takes Shape

The biggest night in Tejano music is returning to Katy, Texas, as the 46th Annual Tejano Music Awards take over the Texas Rodeo Saloon on Friday, November 13, 2026.

Produced by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA), the annual ceremony recognizes artists, musicians, songwriters, recordings and other contributors who have made an impact on Tejano music. TTMA, a nonprofit organization established in 1980, has produced the Tejano Music Awards for more than four decades.

Industry Voting Underway

The road to the 2026 awards is now moving into the nomination phase, with the Industry Ballot available to qualified Tejano music industry professionals, including record labels, media, artists and management.

Industry voting allows qualified members of the Tejano music community to participate in selecting the artists and recordings that will advance as nominees for this year’s awards.

The deadline to submit the Industry Ballot is midnight (12:00 a.m.) on Sunday night, September 27, 2026.

Qualified industry voters can access the ballot through TejanoMusicAwards.com. Questions regarding the ballot can be directed to binog@tejanomusicawards.com.

The TTMA has also published its 2026 nomination guidelines and criteria online. 

Once the industry voting period concludes, the final nominees are expected to be announced online, followed by the public voting phase.

Jay Perez, Siggno, Jenny B, Gary Hobbs and Avizo Set to Perform

The 2026 Tejano Music Awards are already shaping up to feature a mix of established Tejano stars and artists representing the genre’s next generation.

The performance lineup includes Jay Perez, Siggno, Jenny B, Gary Hobbs, and Avizo.

Jenny B was previously announced alongside Jay Perez and Siggno, while Gary Hobbs and Houston-based Avizo were added to the lineup earlier this month. 

Hobbs brings more than four decades of experience to the awards stage, while Avizo, known for its horn-driven sound, represents a veteran presence in Houston’s Tejano and Chicano music scene. 

The combination of longtime Tejano favorites and emerging talent reflects the awards’ ongoing celebration of the genre’s past, present and future.

A New Chapter in Katy

For much of their history, the Tejano Music Awards were held in San Antonio, widely recognized as the “Tejano Music Capital of the World.”

The awards moved to the Houston area in 2025, with the 45th Annual Tejano Music Awards marking the first ceremony at the Texas Rodeo Saloon in Katy. The organization is returning to the venue for a second consecutive year in 2026. 

Over the years, the Tejano Music Awards have recognized many of the genre’s most influential performers, including Selena, Emilio Navaira, Shelly Lares and Jay Perez, among countless other artists.

The awards have also honored lifetime achievements and contributions to Tejano music, providing a platform for both established legends and emerging performers.
