SAN ANTONIO, Texas — The soundtrack to San Antonio’s basketball season may have officially arrived. Local Latin music artist Lee Valentine has released his newest single, “Ballin Like Wemby Cumbia Mix,” a high-energy track that fuses Tejano-style cumbia rhythms with modern dance production and unmistakable Spurs pride.
Inspired by the excitement surrounding Victor Wembanyama and the passionate fan culture of the San Antonio Spurs, the song captures the pulse of the Alamo City both on and off the court.
Designed as a celebration of San Antonio culture, “Ballin Like Wemby Cumbia Mix” combines traditional accordion melodies and percussion-driven cumbia grooves with arena-ready beats built for game days, backyard carne asadas, and citywide celebrations.
Valentine said the song was created specifically for the people of San Antonio and the silver-and-black energy that unites the community. The result is a track that bridges generations of Latino music influences while embracing the excitement of modern sports culture.
The independent artist has steadily built momentum throughout Texas with a genre-crossing style that blends cumbia, reggaeton, and urban Latin sounds. Beyond music, Valentine is also known for his work as an actor and graphic designer.
“Ballin Like Wemby Cumbia Mix” is now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and Amazon Music.
With Spurs fever continuing to grow around Wembanyama, Valentine’s latest release aims to become the city’s newest anthem — one made equally for the dance floor and the basketball arena.
Go Spurs Go… ¡y a bailar!
