The highly anticipated Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria, Texas, has officially been postponed due to severe weather concerns and circumstances beyond organizers’ control.
In a statement shared on the event’s social media pages, organizers announced:
“DUE TO THE WEATHER AND CIRCUMSTANCES OUT OF OUR CONTROL WE ARE POSTPONING THE BASH TO LABOR DAY WEEKEND SEP. 4-6, 2026 @ RIVERSIDE PARK IN VICTORIA TX ALL TICKETS WILL BE HONOURED AT THE NEW EVENT!”
The three-day Tejano music festival was originally scheduled for Memorial Day weekend at Riverside Park in Victoria, Texas, featuring an all-star lineup that included La Mafia, Los Palominos, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, Jay Perez, Marcos Orozco, AJ Castillo, Lucky Joe, Siggno, La Fiebre, Elsa Garcia, Cindy Ramos, Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz, and many more.
Frank Salazar of Salazar Promotions personally addressed fans in a video message posted to social media, explaining the difficult decision after working closely with city officials and emergency personnel throughout the week.
“We’ve been working with the city and city officials, the fire marshal agreements, to see what we could do, what else we could do to salvage or to have this event this weekend,” Salazar said. “But because the weather is not cooperating and we don’t have any control over the weather, and we’re seeing that we have 85%, 90% chance of rain and thunderstorms.”
Salazar said recent rainfall left Riverside Park grounds too saturated for safe parking and festival operations.
“The city has asked us that because of how wet these grounds are, we cannot park in some of the areas that they have for us,” he explained. “We would not have a lot of parking and that would really mess up things.”
Organizers also explored moving the event indoors to the arena, but scheduling conflicts prevented that option.
“We tried to do the arena, but because there is a gun show and state regulations would not allow us to have next to the gun show an event that has alcohol,” Salazar said.
Despite the setback, Salazar confirmed that many of the festival’s major acts are already on board for the rescheduled Labor Day weekend celebration, which is expected to expand into an even bigger experience for fans.
“We talked to La Mafia, La Fiebre, Siggno, AJ Castillo, Jay Perez, Lucky Joe and as many as we could,” he said. “All of the people I’ve talked to so far are on board to do a Labor Day weekend, which is a three-day event with the car show, with the barbecue cook-off and other things.”
Salazar also promised fans a rain-or-shine backup plan for the September event.
“This time with a backup plan with the arena. So rain or shine, we’ll have it on Labor Day,” he added.
All previously purchased tickets, including VIP packages, will remain valid for the rescheduled event.
“All the tickets that you bought are gonna be honored on Labor Day weekend,” Salazar assured attendees. “Same VIPs, same everything.”
The promoter also thanked supporters for their patience and loyalty during what he described as an unprecedented situation in his career.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for always supporting me,” Salazar said. “This is the first time that I’m gonna have to cancel because of weather.”
