The Art Tigerina Band is turning up the romance with the release of “Ella Sabe Lo Que Hace,” a captivating original love song penned by legendary songwriter Humberto “Beto” Ramon. The smooth ranchera blends heartfelt emotion with danceable Tejano rhythms, creating the perfect soundtrack for couples whether they’re gliding across the dance floor or sharing a quiet moment at home.

Driven by rich instrumentation and Tigerina’s unmistakable vocals, “Ella Sabe Lo Que Hace” embraces the timeless spirit of traditional Tejano while introducing a polished, modern touch. The new single showcases a lineup of veteran musicians, including lead vocalist Art Tigerina, electric guitarist Dimas García, bassist Steve Roth, keyboardist Frank Villarreal, and drummer Joey Sanchez. Javier Villareal handled engineering duties, while Eddie Perez took charge of vocal recording, mixing, and mastering. Villarreal also served as producer on the track.

For Tigerina, the song represents more than just another release — it’s part of his ongoing mission to keep Tejano music evolving while honoring its foundation.

“Tejano music can evolve without losing its roots,” Tigerina said about the new single. “You can honor the traditional sound while still pushing the genre forward — because progressive, new and original music should still make people want to dance.”

Tigerina’s career spans more than three decades and traces back to his family’s musical traditions. He first gained recognition performing alongside his brother Robert Tigerina in Tierra Mala before launching his own group, Algo Suave. After relocating to San Antonio in the early 1990s, he performed with bands including La Venganza and CityView, where he recorded the hit “Vueltas y Vueltas.” The song later became an even bigger success after being re-recorded with Grupo Vida.

In 1997, Tigerina joined Grupo Vida as lead vocalist, spending 17 years as the energetic frontman of one of Tejano music’s most recognizable bands. During his tenure, Grupo Vida released 10 albums, earned two Grammy nominations, and toured nationally alongside the Dixie Chicks, helping introduce Tejano music to wider audiences across the country.

Since launching the Art Tigerina Band in 2015, Tigerina has continued to solidify his legacy as one of the genre’s premier entertainers. His debut solo album, De Mi No Te Olvidarás, arrived in 2017, followed by earning Male Vocalist of the Year honors at the 2018 Tejano Music Awards. In 2019, he was inducted into the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Fame.

With “Ella Sabe Lo Que Hace,” Tigerina once again proves why he remains one of Tejano music’s most enduring voices — balancing tradition, innovation, and the irresistible rhythm that keeps fans dancing.
