HOUSTON, TX — Houston Cumbia-Pop artist Amanda Solis is celebrating love in its purest form with the premiere of the official music video for her infectious new single, “Mi Otra Mitad.”
“Mi Otra Mitad” is a vibrant, feel-good anthem about the magic of finding your other half — that unforgettable moment when two lives connect and love just clicks. Whether it’s high school sweethearts growing up together or soulmates discovered later in life, the track captures the joy, excitement, and euphoria that define true love.
The song was penned by Grammy-nominated songwriter Machy De La Garza of La Conquista and produced by Corpus Christi hitmaker Danny “SmokeBeatz” Blanco. Blending modern pop energy with deep Tejano and cumbia roots, the single showcases signature accordion lines by Mony De La Garza, giving it an unmistakable Tejano flair, while its groovy cumbia-pop rhythm keeps it irresistibly danceable.
Mixed and mastered by multi-platinum engineer Juan “2Swift” Zavala, the track delivers a polished, high-energy sound that seamlessly bridges generations and genres — appealing to longtime Tejano fans and a new wave of Latin pop listeners alike.
The official music video brings the song’s message to life with warmth, nostalgia, and celebration — reflecting Solis’ down-to-earth personality and deep family roots.
“What I love about this music video, it totally speaks out and screams out Amanda Solis, the girl next door,” Solis shared. “If you were invited to my carne asada, or if I was invited to your carne asada, this is exactly what we would be doing. Singing in our backyard, having a good time, just reminds me of being with my family, singing while everybody’s eating a big plate of food. I hope that y’all enjoy it.”
That authentic, backyard celebration vibe radiates throughout the video, capturing candid moments of laughter, music, and togetherness — a visual love letter to family, culture, and community.

Solis continues to honor Tejano tradition while pushing the genre forward. Following the release of her debut album, Space Vaquera, she introduced audiences to her signature blend of classic Tejano roots and modern Latin pop fusion — a sound that has quickly become her calling card.
She first gained national attention for her uncanny vocal resemblance to the late Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, beginning her career as a Selena tribute artist. However, it’s Solis’ own original music — sincere, soulful, and rooted in real emotion — that is carving out her true artistic legacy. With multiple award nominations at last year’s Texas Pura Vida Awards, she continues to establish herself as one of Tejano music’s brightest rising stars.
With each release, Amanda Solis further defines what it means to be a proud Latina artist from Texas in today’s evolving regional Mexican and Tejano landscape — honoring tradition while boldly stepping into the future.
