Rising Norteño/Tejano artist Domingo Elias 3Zero is gearing up for a major career milestone with the release of his new single, “Un Tequila y un Doce de Cerveza,” arriving Friday, April 3 on all digital platforms.
The upcoming track marks the first time the Mission, Texas native records a song penned by a Grammy Award-winning songwriter, as Tato Henriquez teamed up with songwriter Christian Garcia to bring the project to life. Henriquez initially approached Domingo after seeing him perform live, offering him an exclusive one-year opportunity to record the song before pitching it to other artists—a gesture that left a lasting impression.
To fully embrace the song, Domingo committed to an intensive preparation process. Because the track was completely new to him, he spent significant time studying and rehearsing to connect with its emotional core before stepping into the studio.
He worked closely with music director Eloy Garza at Crescendo Music Institute in Mission, Texas, dedicating several days to refining pitch, tone, and delivery. The goal was simple: make the performance feel authentic and lived-in.

“For me, it’s important to feel the song as if it were my own,” Domingo shared. “Spending time rehearsing beforehand helps me find the right emotion and sentiment, so when I step into the recording booth I can focus on delivering the feeling of the song rather than trying to figure it out in the moment.”
The collaboration also includes Grammy-winning mixer and producer Gabriel Zavala, who handled the final mix and mastering, adding a polished, high-level finish to the track. “This is my first time working with Domingo Elias TerZero,” Zavala said. “I had fun working on this one. I love the opportunities to expand into different styles.”
Recording took place at Quarter Music Studio in Mission, Texas, where producer and engineer Pedro Zavala helped shape the song’s distinctive sound. The decision to record in a new environment was intentional, allowing Domingo to explore a fresh sonic direction while staying rooted in the Norteño/Tejano tradition.
Those involved in the project say the final product exceeded expectations, highlighting Domingo’s passionate vocal style and emotional delivery.
Fans won’t have to wait long to experience it live. The release of “Un Tequila y un Doce de Cerveza” will be celebrated with a single release party and live performance on April 3 at Cigar Society US in Pharr, Texas, with additional performances planned across South Texas in the weeks that follow.
Domingo Elias 3Zero continues to build momentum as one of the most promising new voices in the Tejano/Norteño scene. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran who served in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Somalia, he has transformed personal struggles—including his battle with PTSD—into powerful, heartfelt music that resonates with fans.
Since launching his professional career in 2024, his blend of traditional Norteño, Tejano, and Conjunto influences with modern production has quickly earned attention across the region. With “Un Tequila y un Doce de Cerveza,” Domingo takes another bold step forward, solidifying his place among the genre’s rising stars.
