The single was written by David Lee Rodriquez and released under M Group Music.
Rodriquez’s return to Tejano music marks a triumphant and emotional homecoming. His debut album, Así Me Enseñaron, earned a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Tejano Album in 2019, and his sophomore project, Mi Vida, arrived in May 2024. With “Amor Secreto,” he reaffirms his place among Tejano music’s most powerful voices.

“We are very excited about the new release! We decided to try a different take on our music, adding a Regional touch to it while keeping it Tejano,” he said. “I had taken a break from music to care for my Dad, who passed away in April, but I promised to keep his legacy alive. We’re hoping to make a strong comeback, working on our third release which will actually feature my Dad on the trumpet.”
