Siggno frontman Jesse Turner has poured his heart into the band’s newest single, “Vuela Madrecita,” a touching tribute to his late mother, Narcisa Cortez Ruiz Turner, and grandmother, Aurelia Requena. Released via Freddie Records on Wednesday, October 29, the deeply emotional track and accompanying music video honor their memory with powerful visuals, family photos, and never-before-seen home videos that capture the love and legacy of two women who shaped Turner’s life.
Written and produced by Turner, “Vuela Madrecita” was recorded at Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi, co-produced by Freddie Martinez, Jr. and Mariano Herrera, with Ricardo Rosales—Siggno’s background vocalist and bajo sexto player—handling the mix and mastering. The single is the third release from Siggno’s forthcoming album, set for December 2025.
“‘Vuela Madrecita’ is the most personal song I’ve ever written,” Turner shared. “It’s a message of love, gratitude, and eternal connection — something I hope every listener can feel deep in their heart.”
The emotional music video adds an even deeper layer to the tribute. Featuring intimate family footage and cherished photographs of Turner’s mother and grandmother, the video mirrors the song’s message of remembrance and love. Each frame reflects Turner’s desire not only to mourn their passing but to celebrate their lives and the lasting impact they had on him and his family.
In a heartfelt social media video, Turner invited fans to join him in this celebration of life:
“How are you, friends? I hope you are all well. I’m going to give you a smile, a little smile, because this Wednesday we are going to celebrate the life of my mother, my grandmother, and all our mothers who are no longer with us. We have to look for them through memories. I don’t want to be sad. I want to celebrate your life.”
Turner went on to share the deep personal connection behind the song and its timing:
“This October 29th is a very beautiful day because it is my mother’s birthday. This song, ‘Vuela Madrecita,’ I dedicate to my grandmother and my mother who are no longer with us. But here, my mother lives in my heart. We have to learn to live with this pain. The pain will never go away.”
He also revealed an emotional moment of discovery that inspired the song’s creation:
“The day my mother passed away, I found these in her room — my little shoes from when I was a child. I imagine she was going to give them to me this Christmas. She was waiting for me to turn 48 to celebrate my birthday. I’m going to celebrate it with her, however she wants.”
With “Vuela Madrecita,” Siggno continues to showcase its gift for turning life’s deepest emotions into timeless songs. The release not only honors Turner’s loved ones but also offers comfort and connection to listeners who have experienced similar loss — a musical reminder that love lives on through memory, music, and the heart.
