HOUSTON, TX — Tejano and Latin pop powerhouse Jennifer Peña is ready to hit the road once again, kicking off her highly anticipated El Camino Tour this week in Houston. The award-winning singer took to social media to share her excitement ahead of her long-awaited return to the stage.
“I cannot believe it,” Peña said in a video to fans. “So many years later, I get to return to Houston. I cannot wait to get back out there with, like, new music and, like, the old stuff and, like, vivir esos momentos de nostalgia con ustedes, con mis fans de Houston. I can’t wait.”
The El Camino Tour begins October 18 at the Arena Theatre in Houston and continues with dates across Texas, including Odessa (Nov. 25), Midland, Austin, San Antonio, and Dallas. Peña will take the tour national in 2026, with stops planned for Florida, Phoenix, and Los Angeles.
The video announcement follows a series of rehearsal clips shared on social media earlier this month, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the preparations for her first major tour in over a decade.
Adding to the excitement, Peña recently revealed the cover art and release date for her long-awaited comeback album, Superación, set for release October 31. The announcement came with a heartfelt message about her journey of growth and resilience.
“I’ve changed. I have evolved. I am over it. And I will continue to do so no matter how hard it gets,” Peña wrote. “Because I can—because I am strong. I do and I will do it for myself, for my children, for my fans. Can’t wait for you all to hear it! I hope you love it!”
Superación marks Peña’s first studio album since 2007’s Dicen Que El Tiempo. After a 16-year hiatus focused on family, Peña reignited her musical career in 2023 with a wave of new releases, including the emotional ballad “Atada,” the fiery cumbia-pop anthem “Wakala,” and her powerful comeback single “Fuerte.”
Known worldwide as the “Princess of Tejano,” Jennifer Peña’s influence spans generations. From her early days with Jennifer y Los Jetz to timeless hits like “El Dolor de Tu Presencia,” “Abrázame y Bésame,” and “Hasta el Fin del Mundo,” Peña has sold over 10 million records and earned both GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY nominations.
The El Camino Tour promises to be both a celebration of Peña’s iconic career and a showcase of her exciting new era. Fans can expect an unforgettable night filled with high-energy cumbias, romantic ballads, and the timeless Tejano and Latin pop hits that have defined her legacy.
