Tejano and Latin music star Jennifer Peña has officially released her latest single, “Atada,” on Friday, September 5, 2025, available now on all digital music platforms. The powerful love ballad highlights Peña’s stunning vocals while carrying a deeply personal emotional weight, making it one of her most heartfelt songs to date.
“Atada” is more than just music—it’s Jennifer Peña today. A sincere expression of love and real-life experiences, the track blends her artistry and personal journey into a song with crossover potential across multiple genres. Written by Peña alongside Tejano music legend Shelly Lares and José Rosario, the track serves as a love letter for lovers everywhere.
Lares, who also co-produced the single with Mando Aussenac, shared the inspiration behind the collaboration. “Late last year, Jennifer shared her desire to return to songwriting, and I offered my studio and team at Shellshock Records 3 to help bring her vision to life. I had already been working on an arrangement, and when Jennifer came in with her story and emotions, she and José connected immediately—crafting powerful lyrics together with incredible chemistry.”

Known for her genre-blending style that fuses Tejano, cumbia, and Latin pop, Peña continues to evolve musically. Recent releases such as “Wakala” earlier this summer, her comeback single “Fuerte” in 2023, and her collaboration with Los Inquietos del Vallenato on “Nunca Niegues Que Te Amo” showcase her creative growth. Earlier this year, she also signed a distribution deal with Symphonic Latino, further expanding her reach in the digital era.
Peña’s return to music in 2023 followed a 16-year hiatus, during which she focused on raising her family. In a heartfelt message to her supporters, she reflected on her comeback: “I’ve waited so long for this moment. I hadn’t considered all the challenges this journey would bring, but I love how God has given me the full confidence I needed to see it through. Every time I felt afraid or lost confidence, He filled me with faith and taught me that nothing and no one could stop the plans He has for me—or for my children.”
From her breakout albums Libre and Seducción in the early 2000s to her continued chart success, Jennifer Peña remains a voice of strength, authenticity, and resilience. With “Atada,” she opens yet another powerful chapter in her career.
“Atada” is available now on all digital streaming platforms.
