HOUSTON, TX — After more than two decades, the iconic Tejano hit “Dicen Por Ahí” is being reintroduced to a new generation of fans. Grupo Negami, in collaboration with Low Country, a Mexican country band from Saltillo, Coahuila, has released a refreshed version and official music video for the timeless track.
“While on a press tour in Mexico during a live Tv Show. I jumped on stage and I joined the band Low Country for their performance,” Negami frontman Juan Carlos Villegas shared with Tejano Nation. “To my surprise they knew the song and it was pure magic. The idea had always been there to redo the song. Upon its 25th anniversary I felt it was time and this was the group to help bring it back to a whole new generation.”
Originally released in 2002, “Dicen Por Ahí” quickly became a staple in the Tejano music scene, remembered for its heartfelt storytelling and distinct sound. Now, Grupo Negami and Low Country bring fresh energy and modern flair while staying true to the spirit of the original.

The music video captures this cultural bridge, highlighting both the timeless essence of Tejano music and the innovative direction the genre continues to embrace. Fans can expect a vibrant, cross-border celebration of sound, spirit, and shared tradition.
