Best Tejano Album Nominations Announced for Latin GRAMMY Awards 2025

Six albums highlight the diversity and tradition of Tejano music at the 26th annual celebration of Latin excellence

The Latin Recording Academy has revealed the nominees for the 26th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, and six outstanding albums are vying for Best Tejano Album in 2025. The announcement was made Wednesday (September 17), spotlighting music creators who represent the heart and soul of the Tejano genre.

Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy, emphasized the significance of this year’s nominees. “The impact of Latin music continues to grow on a global level, and all of the nominated artists encompass its diversity and richness while continuing to preserve the iconic sounds that make our music unique.”


Best Tejano Album Nominees

Bobby Pulido – Bobby Pulido & Friends Una Tuya y una Mía (Vol. 1 / En Vivo)
The Latin Grammy winner celebrates his roots with a powerful live collaboration project featuring duets with Tejano legends and rising stars. The album mixes nostalgia with fresh energy, showing Pulido’s continued influence on the genre.


El Plan – Imperfecto, Vol. 2
Known for their innovative fusion of Tejano with rock and alternative sounds, El Plan’s second installment of Imperfectobrings a bold and experimental twist to tradition, pushing Tejano music into new creative spaces.


Gabriella – Yo No Te Perdí
A rising female voice in the scene, Gabriella delivers an emotionally charged collection of songs that highlight her powerhouse vocals and modern storytelling, blending classic Tejano instrumentation with contemporary arrangements.


Grupo Cultura – Reflexiones
The five-track EP from the Rio Grande Valley band blends the strength of Tejano, the essence of Ranchera, cumbia, ballads and contemporary influences. Cultura has established itself as a unique group within the Tejano scene.


Juan Treviño – 6
The multi-talented singer-songwriter, musician, and producer showcases his artistry in this album filled with original compositions, smooth arrangements, and his signature blend of Tejano, Norteño, and ballad influences.


Marian y Mariel – El Siguiente Paso (Live Session)
This dynamic duo captures their vibrant live energy with El Siguiente Paso, an intimate session that highlights their harmonies, musical versatility, and growing impact as one of Mexico’s promising young Tejano acts.


Looking Ahead

The winners for the 26th Latin GRAMMY Awards will be announced on Thursday, November 13, 2025, during a star-studded ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The event will be broadcast on TelevisaUnivision at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. CT), preceded by a one-hour pre-show.

For the Tejano community, this year’s nominees reflect both tradition and innovation, showcasing artists who continue to shape the future of the genre while honoring its roots. The coveted award for Best Tejano Album will once again highlight the resilience and creativity of Tejano music on Latin music’s biggest stage.

    almost all of the albums on the list is not really tejano music you had a lot of the tejano artists who are well know wasn’t given a chance you had people like david farias mike salgado david lee jay perez gary hobbs south texas hommies i personaly haven’t heard of these artists except bobby pulido but his album has nothing but folks from mexico except his dad no wonder why the latin gramys are a total ripoff for sure!
