NASHVILLE, TN — Country music’s leading Mexicana voice, Leah Galván Turner, has released her latest single, “Señorita,” now available on all digital streaming platforms. The romantic and bold track marks Turner’s first new music since her acclaimed debut album, This Is Mi, and further cements her reputation as a cultural trailblazer in country music.
Co-written and produced with Adam Searan, “Señorita” blends Nashville storytelling with the heartfelt emotion of Mexican ballads. The new release follows the momentum of Turner’s genre-fusing debut This Is Mi, which featured collaborations with Jerrod Niemann and two-time Latin GRAMMY winner Michael Salgado. That project showcased her seamless ability to weave English and Spanish lyrics, country and regional Mexican influences, and traditional and modern sounds. Turner’s duet with Salgado, “Para Mi,” won over Tejano and country fans alike, setting the stage for her continued boundary-breaking journey.
Born to a Mexican-American mother, Susaña Galván, and world champion rodeo star Don Turner, Leah Galván Turner embodies vaquera grit and West Coast soul. She proudly holds the title of the highest-charted solo female Latina in country music and recently became the first Mexicana to have her attire featured in the GRAMMY Museum’s Power of Women in Country Music exhibit. Beyond her own recordings, Turner has shared the stage with Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, and Rascal Flatts, while also penning songs for artists such as Jeremy Renner.
