Tejano music fans and vinyl collectors are in for a treat as three classic Tejano albums receive a highly anticipated release on vinyl today (September 5), courtesy of Sony Music Latin.
Among the highlights is the first ever release of a 2-vinyl LP edition of David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales’ Estamos Unidos, originally released in 2002. The acclaimed album, which features fan favorites “Contigo Amor” and “Chiquilina,” earned a nomination for Best Tejano Album at the 45th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2003. The reissue gives longtime fans and new listeners alike the chance to experience the project with the warmth and richness only vinyl can deliver.
Also part of the collection is Los Palominos’ Corazón De Cristal from 1993, a release that solidified the band’s signature blend of heartfelt romantic ballads and high-energy Tejano tracks. Standout songs like the title track and “Ven Y Baila” continue to resonate with audiences more than three decades later for the album’s first ever vinyl release.
Rounding out the trio is La Mafia’s 1992 album Ahora Y Siempre, one of the most influential works from the GRAMMY-winning group. Featuring timeless hits such as “Me Estoy Enamorando,” “Qué Haré Yo,” and the title track “Ahora Y Siempre,” the album remains a cornerstone in Tejano music history.
The vinyl re-releases are now available for order through Sony Music Latin’s official online store, as well as at other online retailers and local record shops, including Del Bravo Record Shop and Janie’s Record Shop in San Antonio, Texas, and Memo’s Record Shop and Cactus Music in Houston. For fans of Tejano music, these collector’s editions are more than just albums—they are a celebration of the genre’s enduring legacy.
