Tejano music giants David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales have officially unveiled the music video for their brand-new single, “Atormentando”, marking an exciting new chapter in their storied career. Distributed by the iconic Freddie Records, the track debuted on Tejano radio in July and hit streaming platforms last month, quickly generating buzz among fans across the industry.
Staying true to their signature sound, “Atormentando” blends heartfelt lyrics, melodic accordion riffs, and an irresistible rhythm crafted for the dance floor. It’s the timeless style that has defined the band for more than four decades—now infused with fresh energy as their first-ever release under the Freddie Records banner. Affectionately known as “The Godfather of Tejano,” frontman David Lee Garza has guided the group through an incredible 45+ year journey, producing 31 albums, including the 2023 fan favorite Solamente Tú.
“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Freddie Records family,” Garza shared. “Atormentando stays true to the classic DLG y Los Musicales style. This is just the beginning of something very special.”
The single also teases the group’s highly anticipated upcoming full-length album, set to arrive later this month. Directed, produced, and edited by award-winning filmmaker Ryan Bazan, the music video showcases the Grammy-winning band in their hometown of Poteet, Texas—a community famously known as the “Strawberry Capital of Texas” and home of the annual Poteet Strawberry Festival.
