Last Week on May 28 (Wednesday), Suzette Quintanilla, sister of the late Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla-Perez sat down for a special SiriusXM Hits Uno Townhall interview, hosted by SiriusXM Program Director Israel Salazar. Presented by Águila and Hits Uno, the event marked a major celebration for the estate and the announcement of their artist channel “Siempre Selena Radio”.
The Siempre Selena Radio channel celebrates Selena’s timeless music and lasting legacy by showcasing her iconic hits and the artists she continues to inspire. SiriusXM listeners can find Siempre Selena Radio on the SiriusXM app from June 4–July 3 and on satellite channel 79 from June 4–10.
Today, the official voice that will accompany fans all month long, is none other than Tejano artist, historian and online personality Veronique Medrano. From Tejano to TexMex Country, the seasoned Radio and TV Personality showcases the joy and celebration that the channel exudes.
“I have been training for this moment since I was in Radio and TV classes in high school and college (UTPA now known as UTRGV). My mom would say that I’ve been ready for this moment since she took me to the premiere of the Selena movie in McAllen, Texas, at the age of 5,” said Veronique. “I interviewed people alongside the CH5 anchor Cary Zayas. I’m so proud to be a part of this celebration of Selena’s legacy, this feels so full circle for me.”

From Becky G to Suzette Quintanilla and Los Dinos, this SiriusXM Channel is one that honors the full scope of Selena’s career, as well as the brilliance, passion, and joy that made Selena Quintanilla — the Queen of Tejano music.
SiriusXM listeners can find Siempre Selena Radio on the SiriusXM app from June 4–July 3 and on satellite channel 79 from June 4–10.
