New Mexico rising star Gabriella Salazar has released her powerful new EP Ideas with New Mex Records. With seven emotionally rich and genre-defying tracks, Ideas explores themes of self-empowerment, vulnerability, and identity—all through a distinctly female lens.
Combining Tejano, Latin Pop, and Regional Mexican elements, Ideas marks Gabriella’s most personal and dynamic project to date. The EP features original songs that capture her growth as a young Latina artist and storyteller, seamlessly weaving traditional sounds with modern production and heartfelt lyricism.
“This project came from a place of honesty and strength,” shares Gabriella. “Each track represents an idea I’ve carried—about love, self-worth, resilience, and the kind of woman I want to be.”
Track Highlights:
- “No Soy Tan Fácil” — A bold and empowering opener that challenges expectations and asserts self-respect.
- “Lo Que Un Hombre Debería Saber” (feat. Anakaela) — A standout duet with fellow rising star Anakaela that highlights the emotional intelligence women deserve in relationships.
- “Quién Eres Tú” — A melodic, emotionally charged track about discovering the truth in someone who let you down.
- “Nadie Te Va a Querer” — A fusion of Tejano balladry and raw emotion, reflecting on giving everything to someone who couldn’t see your worth.
- “Confieso” — An intimate and haunting confession of lingering feelings and regrets.
- “Mujer Maravilla” (feat. Feliz Salazar) — A triumphant anthem celebrating strength and love between a mother and daughter, delivering an uplifting message.
- “Andar Conmigo” — A fun, danceable cumbia with wide appeal, chosen as the EP’s focus track.
Gabriella Salazar is known for mixing traditional sounds with a modern edge, capturing audiences with her distinctive voice and authenticity. Her 2021 debut album, Concepto Rosa, earned widespread acclaim and propelled her onto major stages including the Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair, the New Mexico State Fair, and the Lensic 360 Series.
Nominated for Best New Female Artist at the 2022 Tejano Music Awards and recognized by the New Mexico Hispano Music Awards, Gabriella continues to emerge as a powerful voice for a new generation of Latina artists.
Her latest EP, Ideas, showcases her growth and determination. “I hope Ideas speaks to anyone who has ever felt misunderstood or underestimated,” Gabriella says. “This EP is for anyone trying to grow and find their place.”
