Latin Grammy nominated Tejano sensation Lucky Joe has officially released his highly anticipated new album, Canciones del Corazón—a deeply personal project that showcases his growth as both an artist and songwriter. The 12-track album, available now via Freddie Records, features a heartfelt collection of songs penned mostly by Lucky Joe himself.
“I’m so blessed, raza,” Lucky Joe shared with fans. “And I want to thank you all for always showing up! Thank you for such amazing love and support that you guys have given me through the years!”
The album is a landmark moment in Lucky Joe’s career, reflecting not only his signature Tejano style but also the emotional and creative journey that led to its creation. “98% of the album is original music I wrote myself,” he revealed in an interview with Tejano Nation Radio. “There’s a song written by Freddie Martinez Sr., and one by a Freddie Records staff writer—but the rest, it’s all me.”
Long known for writing hits for other Tejano artists—including Elida Reyna, Jimmy González, Bobby Pulido, David Olivarez, and Jay Pérez—Lucky Joe returns to his roots with a project that is, as he put it, “98 percent all original music.”
The album is enriched with high-profile collaborations, blending traditional Tejano influences with fresh, unexpected flavors. Featured guests include his wife, singer Devin Banda, the legendary Eliseo Robles (former vocalist for Ramón Ayala), Latin hip-hop artist Chingo Bling, and DJ Kane, formerly of Kumbia Kings.
“I’m so, so excited because it had been a while since I had written my own material,” Lucky Joe said during an appearance on the Domingo Live TV show. “This album that we’re going to come out with is a true reflection of who I am right now.”
Working closely with Freddie Records, Lucky Joe meticulously crafted the final track list from a selection of 20 songs. “Freddie Martinez Jr. and I sat down and we listened to all 20 songs and we picked the best 12. And it’s a great album. And I’m super excited,” he shared.
Canciones del Corazón is more than just a new release—it’s a celebration of artistry, family, and resilience. With his signature voice, moving lyrics, and genre-crossing collaborations, Lucky Joe continues to carve his own unique path in Tejano music.
Fans can stream Canciones del Corazón now on all digital platforms and experience the heart and soul behind every note.
