Bobby Pulido Drops ‘Besos Y Copas’ with Alicia Villarreal from Live Duets Album

Tejano icon and Latin Grammy winner Bobby Pulido has released the fourth single from his groundbreaking live duets album Bobby & Friends – Una Tuya y Una Mía. The newest track, “Besos Y Copas,” is a heartfelt live rendition of the beloved hit originally released by Alicia Villarreal on her 2001 debut solo album. Now streaming on all digital music platforms, the release also features a live concert video capturing the magic of Pulido and Villarreal’s onstage chemistry.

This marks the second duet with Villarreal this week, following the release of Pulido’s “Le Pediré,” a 1997 fan-favorite. Both tracks highlight the unique concept behind Pulido’s ambitious double album: pairing his own Tejano-pop classics with signature hits from fellow Latin stars, performed live in front of roaring audiences.

“It was all live,” Pulido shared on the Bean & Chisme podcast. “The concept is Bobby and friends—una tuya y una mía. So I would sing one of their songs with them, and they sing one of my songs with me.” The album, released via Fonovisa/Universal, captures these musical exchanges in their rawest form, celebrating friendship, legacy, and mutual respect.

Volume One of the album includes 14 tracks, with two songs dropping each week from April 22 through May 30. Volume Two will follow from June 17 through August 7 with 16 additional tracks. The lineup reads like a Latin music all-star list, featuring Jennifer Peña, David Olivarez, Bronco, Majo Aguilar, Luis Padilla of La Firma, and David Bisbal. Last week, Pulido and Bisbal released a fresh take on “Desvelado” along with a stirring performance of Bisbal’s hit “Dígale.”

Each performance was filmed during a live concert series in Monterrey, Mexico, where Pulido was joined onstage by three guest artists each night. The result is an electrifying showcase of genre-spanning talent that honors both his pioneering legacy and the future of regional Mexican music.

Pulido, who burst onto the scene in 1995 with the Gold-certified Desvelado, has been a defining force in Tejano-pop fusion. With hits like “Enséñame,” “Ojalá Te Animes,” and “Se Murió de Amor,” he helped redefine Tejano for a new generation, earning a devoted fanbase across the U.S. and Mexico.

Now embarking on his final tour, Por La Puerta Grande, Pulido is set to perform through the end of 2025 before retiring from the stage. But his artistic journey is far from over—he’s currently working on a final studio album set for release in 2026. And beyond music, he’s turning his attention to public service, with plans to run for office in Texas after his retirement from performing.

With “Besos Y Copas” and the rest of Una Tuya y Una Mía, Pulido leaves fans not just with a farewell, but with a living legacy—a reminder of Tejano music’s enduring spirit and the joy of collaboration.
