The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has posthumously honored Selena Quintanilla-Pérez with a Lifetime Achievement plaque, presented to her sister Suzette Quintanilla at the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The emotional moment celebrated not only Selena’s enduring impact on music but also highlighted a milestone achievement: her album Dreaming of You is now certified 62x Platino (17 million certified units), making it the highest certified Latin album of all time.
“RIAA totally surprised me with this beautiful lifetime achievement plaque for Selena,” said Suzette Quintanilla. “62x platinum—making it the highest certified Latin album of all time! Thank you all for keeping the music alive and strong.”
Selena’s husband and musician Chris Pérez also shared his appreciation for the fans: “Thank you to all of Selena’s fans for your continued love to the Queen!”
To mark the occasion and support a meaningful cause, fans are invited to purchase an exclusive tribute shirt honoring Selena. Proceeds from the sale will benefit families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Shirts are available at www.stjude.org/Selena.

And the celebration doesn’t stop there. On April 25, Universal Music Latino will release Selena’s iconic 11x Platino album Entre A Mi Mundo on vinyl for the first time ever, giving fans a new way to experience the music that continues to inspire generations.
Born in Lake Jackson, Texas, Selena was a singer, songwriter, fashion designer, and cultural icon known as the “Queen of Tejano Music.” Her unique blend of Tejano, pop, and R&B made her one of the most beloved Latin artists of all time. She won numerous accolades throughout her career, including a Grammy Award for Best Mexican-American Album for Live! in 1994, and was inducted into the Billboard Latin Music Hall of Fame and the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame. Her posthumous influence only continues to grow, with her legacy celebrated through music, fashion, and philanthropy.
