San Antonio, TX – One of the Southside’s biggest Fiesta celebrations returns this spring as PACfest 2025 takes over Palo Alto College on Thursday, May 1, from noon to 11:30 p.m. As an official Fiesta San Antonio event, PACfest blends live music, cultural pride, and community engagement for a full day of fun the whole family can enjoy.
With just a $10 admission fee, guests will enjoy free parking and free entry for children 12 and under, as well as all Alamo Colleges District students and employees with a valid ID. Thousands are expected to attend the beloved Southside tradition, making it one of the most anticipated events of Fiesta.
Headlining the 2025 celebration is Latin Grammy Award-winning superstar Alicia Villarreal, making history as the first female headliner at PACfest. Also returning is Tejano icon Micheal Salgado, celebrating 30 years in the industry. Additional performances include fan favorites Ricardo Castillon y La Diferenzia and Jaime Olivares y Los Messengers del Sabor, alongside talented student groups and local artists performing throughout the day.
But PACfest is more than just music—it’s a full-scale community celebration. Visitors can check out STEM Alley, a family-friendly educational zone presented in partnership with the Alamo AFCEA Education Foundation, packed with interactive exhibits and activities. Kids of all ages will love getting up close with the Monster Jam truck DIGatron, courtesy of JCB Trucking. And don’t miss Social Media Alley, sponsored by Noble Texas Builders, where guests can snap and share their favorite PACfest moments.
Since becoming an official Fiesta event in 2003, PACfest has grown into the premier Southside celebration, bringing together culture, education, and community in a way that’s uniquely San Antonio. The event also serves as the largest fundraiser for Palo Alto College’s student organizations, with clubs running booths and activities that support scholarships and campus initiatives.
“This year’s PACfest promises to be our biggest yet,” said Dr. Robert Garza, President of Palo Alto College. “It’s a true community effort, made possible by our amazing sponsors like Dos Equis and Noble Texas Builders. PACfest isn’t just a party—it’s a powerful way to invest in our students and their future.”
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and plenty of Fiesta spirit as they enjoy a day filled with music, mouth-watering food, and opportunities to engage with the local community.
