March is Women’s History Month, and what better way to celebrate than with the latest edition of Totally Tejanas, the monthly playlist from Tejano Nation that shines a spotlight on the current powerful female voices taking over Tejano music. From legendary icons to rising stars, these talented women are making waves in a genre traditionally dominated by men, proving that the future of Tejano is fierce, fearless, and female.
This month, the Totally Tejanas playlist cover is graced by none other than Jenny B, a third-generation performer with deep roots in Tejano music. Following in the footsteps of her family’s renowned band Los Agues, Jenny B blends Tejano, pop, and R&B influences to create a sound that is uniquely hers. With her glamorous style, magnetic stage presence, and undeniable talent, she has drawn comparisons to the Queen of Cumbia, Selena Quintanilla-Perez. Her latest single, “Pobre Tonto”, from her debut album Mujer Sensual, is a must-listen for fans of modern Tejano with a fresh twist.
The Totally Tejanas playlist for March 2025 features an exciting lineup of music from both established and up-and-coming artists. Tejano icons like Elida Reyna and Stefani Montiel continue to set the standard for excellence in the genre, while next-generation stars such as Destiny Navaira, Monica Saldivar, Savannah V, and Gabriella Martinez bring a fresh energy to Tejano’s evolving sound.
This month’s playlist also introduces the next wave of female talent, including LiLi Bella, Zelen, Madison Pulido, Alicia C, and more. These rising stars are carving their own paths in Tejano music, infusing their work with unique styles that honor the genre’s traditions while pushing its boundaries.
Along with Totally Tejanas, Tejano Nation curates additional Spotify playlists to keep fans connected to the latest in the genre. New Tejano highlights fresh releases from across the Tejano music scene, while Tejano Love Songs compiles heartfelt romantic hits that have become timeless classics.
