The 56th annual Fiesta Edinburg brought an unforgettable night of Tejano music to Bert Ogden Arena on March 1, 2025, as two international superstars, Alicia Villarreal and La Mafia, took the stage. Hosted by the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, this four-day festival is a beloved tradition, offering a mix of live music, carnival rides, and family-friendly entertainment.
The iconic Alicia Villarreal captivated fans with her signature blend of ranchera and Tejano hits, delivering a powerful performance filled with energy and emotion. Dressed in her trademark charro-inspired outfit, the beloved songstress performed classics like Te Quedó Grande La Yegua and Ay Papacito, leaving the audience singing along to every lyric.
Following Villarreal’s stellar set, Grammy-winning Tejano legends La Mafia took the stage, mesmerizing the crowd with their timeless hits. The Houston-based group, led by Oscar De La Rosa, delivered a setlist packed with fan favorites, including Me Estoy Enamorando and Un Millón de Rosas. Their electrifying performance had the crowd on their feet, proving once again why they remain one of Tejano music’s most beloved bands.
