HOUSTON, TX — The iconic Miller Outdoor Theatre will come alive with the powerful voices and rich melodies of Tejano and Conjunto music as Voces y Recuerdos takes center stage on March 29, 2025. This groundbreaking, all-female free concert is a tribute to the women who have shaped and enriched the Tejano music scene. Presented by the Miller Theatre Advisory Board and produced Noche Tejana, a concert series co-founded by musician Jennifer Watts, the event aims to highlight the resilience, talent, and lasting impact of women in a historically male-dominated industry.
The full lineup for Voces y Recuerdos promises an unforgettable night of music and celebration. Headlining the event is six-time Grammy-nominated artist Stefani Montiel, alongside a powerhouse lineup featuring Destiny Navaira y Los Navaira, Monica Treviño, Magali Delarosa, Beatriz Gonzalez, rapper Carolyn Rodriguez, and Mariachi Las Mujeres de Houston. These artists represent the past, present, and future of Tejano music, each bringing their own unique style and influence to the stage.
For decades, women in Tejano music have fought to carve out a space in an industry where men have traditionally dominated the spotlight. However, the impact of these women extends far beyond music—they are activists, cultural icons, and community leaders who have worked tirelessly to preserve and honor the rich traditions of Tejano heritage. Through Voces y Recuerdos, this event hopes to amplify their voices and share their incredible contributions with a new generation of fans.
The free event will be a night filled with high-energy performances, heartfelt tributes, and a celebration of the women who have paved the way for future generations. As the rhythms of Tejano music echo through Miller Outdoor Theatre, audiences will experience the passion and power of these legendary and emerging artists.
