Today marks the highly anticipated radio release of “En El Mar,” the latest single by the incomparable Elida Reyna Y Avante on Freddie Records. Written by Elida Reyna herself, this romantic Tejano ranchera song features a smooth rhythm with touches of accordion and keyboards, capturing the beauty of the sea and the joy of sharing special moments with a loved one. It’s the lead single from Elida’s farewell tour album, a tour she announced last week.
Produced by Lalo Reyna III, leader of Grupo Avante and Elida Reyna’s husband, “En El Mar” showcases the exceptional talent and dedication of the team behind it. The executive producers, Los Hermanos Martinez (Freddie Martinez, Jr., John Martinez, and Marc Martinez), have ensured that every detail of the recording process was meticulously handled. The song was recorded at the renowned Legends Sound Studios in Corpus Christi, Texas, by recording engineer Eli Molina. It was then mixed and mastered by Mariano Herrera, Lalo Reyna III, and Lorenzo “Papo” Banda, the bassist of Grupo Avante.
Fans can look forward to the digital release of “En El Mar” on November 15, 2024. Additionally, Elida Reyna Y Avante are finalizing the production of a new music video for the single, with a worldwide premiere date to be announced soon. The video will be available for streaming on the Freddie Records TV YouTube channel.
