Tejano music fans, get ready for an exciting musical journey! Tony Guerrero, the charismatic leader of La Sombra, recently shared thrilling news about the band’s upcoming projects in a video posted on social media. After a 12-year hiatus, the “Windy City Boys” are back with a full album and a series of new singles that promise to captivate fans.
In his video message, Tony Guerrero enthusiastically announced the release of several new tracks, starting with “Ya No Soy La Misma,” a single by the talented Victoria Isabella, set to drop on August 2nd, 2024. This song, written, produced, and arranged by Marco G, showcases the incredible talent within La Sombra family.

But that’s not all! Fans can also look forward to “Una Probadita” by Pete y Grupo Animo, another production collaboration between Tony Guerrero and Marco G. The excitement doesn’t stop there, as Tony revealed a special collaboration with his idol, Johnny Hernandez, titled “Aqui Venimos (Here We Come),” written by Johnny himself.
Tony also shared news about a heartfelt collaboration with his cousin, Frankie Ramirez, titled “Con Los Ojos Cerrados.” With more collaborations on the horizon, including projects with Maritza, Alfonso Baeza, and possibly G5, the anticipation is building.
The highlight of Tony’s announcement was the upcoming La Sombra album, their first since 2012. This new album, a collaborative effort between Tony and his son Marco G, is expected to be released by the end of August, featuring contributions from long-time members like Cruz Guerrero, Bobby Rios, Cricket, and Pete.
Stay tuned for more updates and get ready to experience the magic of La Sombra once again. As Tony Guerrero said, “La Sombra, baby. That’s what’s up!”
