Their idiosyncratic style and González’s musical genius propelled them to become one of the most celebrated bands during Tejano’s golden age.

González’s contributions to music were recognized with multiple Latin Grammy Awards for Best Tejano Album, celebrating his artistic excellence and enduring impact on the genre. Sadly, the Tejano community bid farewell to this legend on June 6, 2018, when González passed away due to complications from diabetes.
