Los Volcanes de Eddie Rodriguez presents their latest single with CHR Records entitled “Yo No Te Pido Perdon”. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest city of Seattle, Washington, this group brings Tejano and Conjunto entertainment to areas not fully familiar with this style of music.
With a musical history spanning almost 50 years, this talented group is now evolving to a new generation, full of enthusiastic musicians filled with excitement for this business. Although Eddie Rodriguez remains at the helm, most of the band decisions and responsibilities now lay with his son Sean Rodriguez.
Sean, who was nominated “Percussionist of the Year” several years ago at the Tejano Music Awards in San Antonio, Texas, has since taught himself to play accordion, bass, guitar, and keyboards. Utilizing their own Volcan Studios in Seattle, Sean often performs several instruments on the group’s recordings. This process has proved successful as they continue to send finished materials to CHR Studios for final mastering.
The group has now begun to rely on their own material as keyboardist Mario Coronado pens a good portion of the group’s songs. Last but not least as part of the new generation of Los Volcanes is female vocalist Sarah Fonseca, whose stage presence and unique vocals, whether doing harmony or lead, continue to capture the hearts of fans at each performance.
