After a brief stint of captivating the airwaves, Nino Brown has bid adieu to KLMO 98.9-92.1 FM in San Antonio. The former morning show host has decided to explore “other interests,” leaving behind a legacy of Tejano music and vibrant entertainment.
Nino Brown’s departure from KLMO marks a significant turning point in his illustrious 30-year career. While his voice resonated through the speakers, Nino was also making waves behind the scenes. His passion for storytelling extended beyond radio, leading him to explore the world of film and video production.
In the movie The Margarita Man, Nino’s charisma and authenticity shines through, leaving an indelible mark on the silver screen. But it was in the realm of music videos that Nino truly excelled. His collaboration with artists resulted in award-winning visuals that elevated Tejano music to new heights.
Nino’s creative journey intertwined with that of Danny Ramos, the visionary filmmaker behind Drop Zone Films. Together, they breathed life into Tejano projects, infusing them with passion and authenticity. From soulful ballads to foot-stomping anthems, Nino and Danny’s synergy created magic on screen.
Nino’s most recent endeavor involves the music video for the upcoming single “Me Vale Madre” by Arrasando Norte. The visual, currently in post-production, promises to be a fiery celebration of Tejano culture. Nino’s meticulous attention to detail ensures that every frame resonates with emotion and energy.
As if that weren’t enough, Nino is slated to be the “Voice of God (VOG)” at the upcoming Pura Vida Awards Show at the Tobin Center in August. His commanding voice will guide the audience through the evening, adding gravitas to the celebration of Tejano excellence.
In parting, Nino expressed his gratitude: “Thank you, Homer, Bert, and everyone at Lopez Broadcasting for the opportunities. To all involved, I wish you the very best.” As Nino Brown steps away from the mic, his legacy reverberates through the airwaves, reminding us that true passion knows no bounds.
Stay tuned for Nino’s next chapter—a journey that promises to be as dynamic and captivating as the man himself.
