AB Quintanilla Y Los Kumbia Allstarz have joined JT Entertainment, a new management company that provides booking and marketing services to artists in the Tejano/Norteño music scene. The announcement was made in a video shared on social media by Jesse Turner, the founder of JT Entertainment and the lead singer of Siggno.
In the video, Turner welcomes AB Quintanilla and his group to the JT Entertainment family and praises their talent and legacy. “I still can’t believe it, like a blessing from the sky. Today, we signed AB Quintanilla Y Los Kumbia Allstarz,” said Turner. “So many great things are coming. I’m not going to say much more.”
AB Quintanilla is the brother of the late Selena Quintanilla and a Grammy-winning producer, songwriter, and musician. He formed Kumbia Allstarz in 2006 after leaving Kumbia Kings, another successful cumbia group that he co-founded. Kumbia Allstarz, known for their fusion of cumbia with pop and urban elements, have released four albums and have toured internationally, performing hits such as “Chiquilla”, “Rica y Apretadita”, and “Por Ti Baby”.
JT Entertainment is a new management company that was created by Turner, along with Jessica Carreon (Manager for Grupo Siggno), and Yvette Cantu (CEO of Tesoro Music Entertainment). The company aims to provide booking and marketing services to artists in the Tejano/Norteño music scene, with over 30 years of experience in the field. JT Entertainment’s roster includes Grupo Siggno, Lucky Joe, Los Rayos del Sol de Fidencio Ayala y Héctor Garza, and Grupo Asalto.
