DENVER, Colorado – Tejano music fans are in for a treat as Isabel Marie Sanchez, one of the most talented and popular singers in the genre, will sing the national anthem for the Denver Broncos before their game against the Green Bay Packers at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado, on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Sanchez, who has won multiple awards and accolades for her albums and songs, is excited to showcase her talent and culture to NFL fans and the world as the first female Tejano artist to sing the “Star-Spangled Banner” at an NFL game. She said in a statement: “I’m so excited and HONORED to announce that I will be singing the National anthem, this October 22nd for the NFL Denver Broncos. Being supported by such amazing people behind the scenes is such a blessing and I’m forever grateful.”
The Chicago native, who also resides in San Antonio, rose to fame after participating in the third season of La Voz Kids in 2014. She has released five albums, including Una Illusion, which earned her a nomination for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Tejano Album in 2022.
Isabel Marie’s latest album, “Tu”, was released in August 2023 and has received rave reviews from critics and fans alike. The album, produced by Abraham Quintanilla, features the vocalist adding her own vibe to classic songs including the mariachi title track.
The Latin Grammy nominee’s performance of the national anthem will be a historic moment for Tejano music, as it will expose the genre to a wider audience and celebrate its rich and vibrant culture.
