
Bobby Pulido, one of the most successful and beloved Tejano artists, has given a revealing and exclusive interview on his YouTube channel, where he shared his personal and professional journey, from his childhood dreams to his current projects.
The interview, titled “Pasado, Presente, y Futuro” (Past, Present, and Future), premiered on Thursday, August 24. It was conducted by veteran Tejano radio personality J.D. “Bo Leo Gonzalez, the morning host at Fierro HD.
In the hour-long conversation, Pulido talked about his humble beginnings in Edinburg, Texas, where he grew up listening to his father, legendary Tejano singer Roberto Pulido. He also recalled how he started singing as a hobby, without any intention of pursuing a career in music.
“I didn’t want to be a singer, that was not the goal,” Pulido said. “But once I recorded ‘Desvelado’, that became the start of the whole thing.”
Pulido explained how he developed his own style and identity as a solo artist, after collaborating with his father on the duet “Contigo” in 1994.
The singer also discussed his crossover success where he achieved international fame with hits like “Le Pedire” and “Llegaste A Mi Vida”. He also revealed some of the challenges and difficulties he faced along the way, including losing his voice and undergoing surgery.
The Latin Grammy winner also shared some of his current projects and plans for the future, such as releasing new music and touring. He also announced some surprises and announcements that will delight his loyal fans, including producing the final album for his legendary father.
The interview was full of emotion, humor, and honesty, as Pulido opened up about his life and music like never before. He also expressed his gratitude and appreciation for his fans, who have supported him throughout his almost 30-year career.
