
Stefani Montiel, one of the most successful and versatile Tejano singers, has released her new album, Mis Favoritas, Vol. 1, a collection of six iconic hits that have influenced her musical career. The project features the enchanting rhythms of Biento’o, a captivating musical creation under the prestigious ARC Discos record label produced by Grammy Award winner Ramon Gonzales Mora and Gabriel Zavala.
Mis Favoritas, Vol. 1 is a tribute to the legendary Tejano superstars who have inspired Stefani’s artistry, such as Mazz, Roberto Pulido, Grupo Estrella, La Mafia, and more. With every note, Stefani pays homage to the greats while infusing her unique style and passion. The album is not only about music, but also a celebration of history, culture, and the power of music to connect generations.
Stefani Montiel has been a force in Tejano music for over three decades, combining many music genres to create a fusion of sounds. She began her music career at the age of five in Albuquerque, New Mexico, releasing her debut single “Angel Baby”, which was reissued in 2017. She moved to Texas in the early 1990s to pursue a career in Tejano music and signed with Sony Music. She released five albums with the label, including “Te Voy Enamorar”, “Todo Mi Amor”, “Porque Soy Mujer”, “Baila Conmigo”, and “Dulce Sensacion”.
After leaving Sony Music, Stefani Montiel signed with World Records and released four more albums: “Takin’ on the World”, “The Music of Joe Barela”, “Divina”, and “Paraíso”. She also collaborated with other artists such as Savannah V, La Calma, and Vampiro.
Stefani Montiel has also received many accolades and honors throughout her career, such as multiple Tejano Music Awards, an induction into the Tejano R.O.O.T.S. Hall of Fame in 2013, and an induction into the New Mexico Music Hall of Fame in 2022. She is married to Gabriel Zavala, who is also her producer and musical partner. They have two children, who have also featured in some of her songs.
Stefani Montiel’s new album, Mis Favoritas, Vol. 1, is expected to be a hit among Tejano music fans and critics alike. The album is available on all digital platforms.
