Tejano music, also known as Tex-Mex music, is a fusion of various musical genres that originated in Texas among the Mexican-American population. It incorporates elements of Mexican folk music, country, rock, blues, jazz, and more. Some of the most famous Tejano artists include Selena, Emilio Navaira, La Mafia, and Intocable.
The Texas Invades Colorado Tejano concert will showcase some of the rising stars of Tejano music, such as Asalto, an award-winning band from Snyder, Texas, that combines traditional Tejano sounds with modern influences.
Another band to watch out for is Colorado Allstars, a group of talented musicians from Denver that play a variety of styles, such as cumbia, ranchera, bolero, and more. They have performed at many festivals and events across the state and beyond.
The concert will also feature Angelica Y Moneda from San Antonio. Angelica is one of the rising stars in Tejano music. The singer won Best New Female Artist at the 42nd Tejano Music Awards last year.
Last but not least, the concert will have DJ Lucky J on the decks, spinning the hottest Tejano tracks and keeping the crowd energized.
