Two-time Latin Grammy-nominated artist Deni Morales dropped his solo debut Mariachi album Enternamente Enamorado (Eternally In Love), which celebrates the timeless theme of love that transcends borders and cultures. It is a stunning tribute to the enduring power of love and the cultural unity that music can achieve. Inspired by the music his parents grew up with, this album features a selection of songs that celebrate the rich traditions of mariachi music.
“Starting off with the name, it represents how love lasts forever. Not only the feeling of love but as well as the music that is sung within my album which are songs from the late ’70s, early ’80s,” Morales tells Tejano Nation. “We wanted to unite the generations with the music of the ’70s and ’80s to modern arrangements with mariachi today.”
The album is a Mariachi project that aptly embodies the rich cultural heritage and musical traditions of Mexico, as it pertains to this genre of music. Notably, while the music is rooted in Mexican culture, it is worth mentioning that the lyrics and songs featured on the album were written exclusively by non-Mexican songwriters and singers. This artistic choice was motivated by a desire to promote cultural harmony and inclusiveness, by bringing together diverse cultures through music.
“We also wanted to do a cultural union in the sense that these songs are all by Latin American artists and we put in a very Mexican genre which is mariachi and unite all the cultures in music,” said Morales.
Produced in the United States, Mexico, and Spain, Eternamente Enamorado is the result of ten months of hard work and dedication. Morales worked tirelessly to bring his own unique interpretation to each track, infusing each song with his own passion, energy, and love for the music.
“It’s almost as if I’m playing a different character with each song,” added Morales. “It’s telling a completely different story with each song but they’re all very emotionally driven.”
Deni Morales’ powerful vocals and the expert musicianship of his band bring each song to life, transporting listeners on a musical journey through the heart of Mexican culture.
Eternamente Enamorado is more than just a celebration of music and culture. It’s a testament to the enduring power of love, and a reminder that this powerful force can break through generations and unite us all. With each track, Deni Morales shows us that love is eternal and that it has the power to transcend language, borders, and cultural divides.
Eternamente Enamorado from Deni Morales is available to stream or download on all digital music platforms.
