Freddie Records revealed the cover art and release date for the highly-anticipated new album from Lucky Joe, Pa’ Que No Te Cuenten.
The album cover was featured on the legendary record label’s Instagram page along with a message that the Latin Grammy-nominated artist would share more details on the album including the release date in a message.
The video message from Lucky Joe was shared on his own Instagram post, in which the singer and musician said the album is scheduled for release on May 19, 2023.
Lucky Joe teamed with Siggno frontman Jesse Turner to produce this new album which will showcase his Lucky Joe’s “character” and “emotions” of music for the project.
“We are super stoked for this new project,” said Lucky Joe. “I can honestly say that this next album is going to show a lot of what is ME! My character and all my emotions wrapped up in this roller coaster of music. Teaming up with my musical brother Jesse Turner to help me produce this next album is a blessing and I’m very thankful for that. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!”

One of those songs is the Norteño-style ranchera “Mi Guerita,” a song inspired by his current relationship with Tejano singer Devin Banda and the lead single from the album that follows Norteño Y Poderoso: Tributo a Mis Idolos, released in 2021 which received a Tejano Music Awards nomination for Best Conjunto Album.
“We geared more towards Norteño style, kind of like the most recent album we have,” added Lucky Joe. “So, Freddie (Martinez) was like, ‘Lucky this album is doing so good for you, why don’t you stay on that path and write something original.’ So, I wrote ‘Mi Guerita’, and he loved it.”
