Magali Delarosa released her fifth studio album, Mujer Mexicana, and it’s one of her finest projects to date for the two-time Tejano Music Awards nominee.
“What can I say, I feel so blessed that we were able to put this out,” Magali tells Tejano Nation. “We worked so hard on this album since the fall we’ve been recording, and I think it’s the best one that we’ve ever done.”
The album contains 10 tracks including the hit song “Quiero Que Vuelvas” and the latest release “Muero Por Tu Amor.”
“It’s very versatile. We have a lot of very fun cumbias on there and some really nice ballads,” added Magali.
The singer, actress, fashion designer, and dancer was born and raised in Pharr, Texas. The three-time Tejano Music Awards nominee for Best New Female Artist in 2016, 2020, and 2022, just wrapped up filming her third movie. She launched her own lip gloss line in 2021 called “Bésame Mucho”.
Magali was inspired by her father and is a second-generation Tejano singer with many influences from different genres. “We always had music in the home, and he was a bass player in a Tejano band called Grupo Fuego,” said Magali. “They were on the Hacienda Records label. Also, Selena and many other vocalists such as Thalia, Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse, Rocio Durcal, Whitney Houston, and Mariah Carey have been a huge inspiration to me.”
Mujer Mexicana from Magali Delarosa is available to stream or download on all digital music platforms.
