One of the current top streaming songs this week on digital music platforms and most viewed video is “Un x100to,” the collaboration between Grupo Frontera and Bad Bunny but the Rio Grande Valley band didn’t know the Puerto Rican singer was a part of the song until the day of the video shoot.
In an interview with social media influencer Leo Gonzalez, the members of Grupo Frontera shared they were surprised to learn Bad Bunny was part of the romantic cumbia when the Grammy winner appeared on the set to film the music video.

“We actually didn’t know that the song was going to be with Bad Bunny until the day of the video recording. We were surprised,” said band members. “It was cool because we were on set about to record it and they tell us it’s going to be like a duet. We recorded the song and they had us out there recording the video already and they were like, ‘We’re going to change the song real quick. We’re like how?”
The band was told Bad Bunny had recorded a new version of the song and he made a surprise visit to film the music video for the collaboration. During the filming of the video, it was the first time Grupo Frontera had heard the latest version of the song.

“If you see the video, we were like jamming because it was the first time we had heard it,” said the band. “It was too much emotion. It was crazy.”
The romantic Norteño cumbia was produced and composed by Latin hitmaker Édgar Barrera. It tells a story of a person who misses their ex and makes an important phone call with one percent of battery left on the phone. Barrera has worked frequently with Grupo Frontera on records like “Bebe Dame” with Fuerza Regida, “Que Vuelvas” with Carin Leon, “Ya Superame,” and “Cada Quien” with Maluma, among others.
