Sunny Sauceda performed with some of the top Texas Country singers and musicians when the three-time GRAMMY winner showcased his accordion skills on stage with Kevin Fowler, Kin Faux, Love & Chaos, and others during an unforgettable weekend.
Sauceda shared the stage on Friday night (March 24) at The Roundup in Boerne, Texas, performing “Mas Tequila Por Favor” and “Volver, Volver” with Kin Faux during their opening set, and later in the night performed “Senorita Mas Fina” with Kevin Fowler.
“A night I’ll never forget,” Sauceda captioned a photo with Fowler on social media. He was gifted tickets by his wife, Vickie, to attend the event and Sauceda reached out to Rico Gonzalez, frontman for Kin Faux, and Fowler that he would be there. The Texas Country stars invited him to bring his accordion to the concert for possible performance on stage.
The weekend continued on Sunday night as Sauceda performed “All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down” with Love & Chaos during the Fresh Faces showcase at the Texas Regional Radio (T3R) Music Awards at Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas. The awards show recognizes artists for their accomplishments and sacrifices in the Texas/Red Dirt Music Scene over the past year based on data from the Texas Regional Radio Report Chart. Sauceda was welcomed by all and even invited to walk the awards show red carpet.
“It was just cool to do and be there,” Sauceda tells Tejano Nation. “I was just so grateful, so thankful to just kind of be able to rub elbows. It was so neat. it was so awesome. We had a great time.”
Sauceda is planning to collaborate with another Texas Country artist for a future project and a possible tour with one of the artists he performed with this past weekend.
“I’m dipping my feet into the Texas Country world because I’m doing a duet with Abe Mac and we’re talking about possibly doing some tour dates with Kin Faux. Tejano and Texas Country together. We’re already in talks about doing something like that,” said Sauceda.
