New Mexico singer Keana Huerta enters the Tejano music scene with her debut single, “Superhéroe,” produced by Tejano icon Shelly Lares.
“Working with Shelly Lares has been phenomenal,” Keana tells Tejano Nation. “She is such a knowledgeable, inspiring artist and I couldn’t have anyone better to guide me on this journey. I’m truly so grateful for everything.”
“Superhéroe” is a beautiful progressive Tejano ballad that describes the pain of heartbreak and speaks to those overcoming the challenges of losing a lover.
“Music has always played a huge role in my life, ever since I could remember I would sing any chance I could,” added Keana. “The connection music builds with others is beautiful and inspiring to see. I love that it gives me an outlet to express myself.”
Keana’s smooth beautiful vocals are unique and on a level of a veteran vocalist. Her ability to sing Tejano, country, mariachi, and R&B will soon be heard in her upcoming recordings.
Keana, born and raised in Grant County New Mexico, is the lead singer for the local group Siempre. The 18-year-old vocalist will graduate from Cobre High School this year and plans to attend Western New Mexico University this fall, learning to play the harp with WNMU’s Mariachi group.
“Superhéroe” is now available on all digital platforms from Shellshock Records 3.
