There is a current wave of powerful female voices taking over the usually male-dominated Tejano music industry from Tejano icons like Shelly Lares, Elida Reyna, Stefani Montiel, and more paving the way for emerging artists like Destiny Navaira, Monica Saldivar, Isabel Marie Sanchez, and others. With that in mind, Tejano Nation, the news and media company dedicated to promoting and preserving Tejano culture, presents this month’s Totally Tejanas Playlist on Spotify celebrating Women’s History Month.
The Totally Tejanas playlist showcases the latest hits from the fierce femmes of Tejano music including icons and emerging vocalists as curated by Tejano Nation music editors each month.
This month’s playlist cover is graced by Angélica, who was named Best New Female Artist at the Tejano Music Awards and Top New Female Artist at the My Tejano Awards in 2022. “Amor Eterno” is an original accordion-driven ranchera featuring a blend of styles that she had not recorded before, and plans to step in and outside of the box.
The Totally Tejanas playlist also features the latest hits from Destiny Navaira, Rebecca Valadez, and Isabel Marie Sanchez. Emerging stars are showcased as well including Sonja De La Paz, Magali Delarosa, and Liz Garcia, plus new artists like Daniella Ramirez, Gabriella, Madison Pulido, Annika, Alicia C, Christi Lux, and more.
