Siggno frontman Jesse Turner surprised a fan listening to the Latin Grammy-winning band at a gas station in Kenedy, Texas this week.
Turner shared a video of the encounter on social media. In the video, the singer and musician introduced himself to the fan, Nereyda, who didn’t expect to run into one of her favorite artists while inside a convenience store at a gas station listening to “Te Extraño,” a song from Siggno’s 2009 album Nuestra Historia.
Turner captioned the video, “I stopped to pump gas in Kennedy, TX and there was a girl blasting ‘Siggno’ in her SUV so I said, ohhh…I’m going to go say hello her. I thought it was awesome that she didn’t know who I was so I introduced myself and thanked her for the blessing. Much love to everyone that jams all the old school songs and the new stuff.”
Siggno is currently on their Ayer Y Hoy Tour 2023 and are recording music for their highly-anticipated next album.
Siggno is an award-winning, chart-topping Tejano band from Santa Rosa, Texas, which released their debut album Al Principio in 2001. The group, known for their unique Rockteño sound, was nominated for Latin GRAMMYS in 2020 including Best Tejano Album for Pelicula Vol. 1 and Best Regional Song with “#Hashtag.” They won a Latin Grammy for Best Norteño Album with Six Pack in 2008.
