
The nominations for the 42nd annual Tejano Music Awards were announced on Friday (Nov 11). The Top 5 nominees were revealed for each category with Shelly Lares, Jay Perez, and Monica Saldivar leading all nominations with four each.
“Little Miss Dynamite” was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year and Tejano Album of the Year with LMD82. The album’s hit song “Nada De Ti” featuring Monica Saldivar, Sonja De La Paz, and Demmi Garcia earned two nominations including Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. The Tejano icon will also make her final performance at the TMAs as she will retire from touring at the end of this year.
Perez earned nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year with El Maestro. “The Voice” added Song of The Year with “Eres”, while the duet “Tu Y Yo” with his wife Roxane Perez was nominated for Collaboration of the Year.
Saldivar, a rising star in the Tejano industry, received nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year with Soy Mas Fuerte, and Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year for “Nada De Ti.”

Other multiple nominees include Lucky Joe, Anjelique, La Fiebre, Texas Latino, and Lydia Castillo.
