In their first post-pandemic release, the #NextGenChicanos once again fuses a classic Tejano sound with the next generation to bring fans a 21st-century Chicano sound. Their signature horn-driven arrangements are taken to a new level with the iconic accordion sound of DLG. Combine that with the exceptional vocal blend of Martinez and La 45 lead vocalist Mike Torres III and you have “La Embarcacion.”

“The song that we thought of that would be perfect to fuse that Poteet Posse sound with the orquesta sound that we do. We were real happy with the way it came out,” said Torres in an interview with Fierro HD‘s Bo and Jon Show on the Audacy app. “For me, it was a dream come true. I’ve been a David Lee fan for all my life, so to have him in the studio working on a track with us was definitely a bucket list moment for us.”
