San Antonio, TX — Are you ready for what’s to come? Is the music scene ready? Whether you’re with the millions who view his Tik Tok videos or are a long-time listener this release will definitely surprise and catch your attention within the first second. Some claim to bring rock to Tejano but this record is actually a rock-infused ranchera that only Sunny Sauceda y Todo Eso can twist and make their own. Solstice Records proudly presents SSYTE’s fourth record with the release of “Asi Como Pagan Pago” written by Salome Gutierrez from their current album After Party.
Sauceda states, “I always try to outdo my previous work. This is a ranchera de piquete. First ranchera in the world with a death metal scream. I love to break the rules, especially my own rules. This song is about revenge. This song was written over 40 years ago when a man’s prowess was at its height. It’s my interpretation of Manuel ‘El Sargento’ Guerrero, a conjunto pioneer that few remember which is why I chose this song. It continues where I left off with ‘Cielo Azul’ but I added fuel to the fire with some slipknot licks, death metal scream, screaming driving bass, and ended it with a Motley Crue riff. The death metal scream is something I’ve been wanting to do for over a decade and our Bajo/guitarist Americo Garcia nailed it. It’s what is in my head when I’m playing accordion, while I’m at the gym when I’m in the ring sparing doing MMA and now my rage is released into this song.”
“Asi Como Pagan Pago” and the full album, After Party, from Sunny Sauceda Y Todo Eso is available to stream or download on all digital music platforms.
