
HARLINGEN, TX -– Award-winning soulstress, Hilda Lamas, has been nominated for the 8th annual Josie Music Awards World Artist of the Year category. Lamas is one of eight finalists in the category. Over 52,000 submissions were received this year for consideration.
The Josie Music Awards is an all-genre music award show ceremony that includes a red carpet and various performances. The Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, will host this year’s awards show on October 23, 2022. Since 2015, the Josie Music Awards remains the largest independent artist award show in the world.

Lamas is a recording artist from Aransas Pass, Texas who has seamlessly transcended genres with her musical catalog including Blues, Soul, Tejano, and more. Lamas was named the Country Music Association of Texas 2021 Americana Artist of the Year and recently collaborated with Disney Encanto actress and singer, Adassa.
Hilda’s current single, “Caprichosa,” is available on all digital outlets and Tejano radio stations.
