Jaime DeAnda returned to the stage recently less than two months after life-saving surgery for an infection that hospitalized him in the ICU in December. The Conjunto Hall of Famer realized how precious life is after his recent health scare and wanted to thank fans for their support.

“It’s exciting to know how many fans are supportive,” DeAnda tells Tejano Nation. “With all the prayers and donations they helped with, it was very much appreciated. Things happen to us and we never realize when or how precious life is. It feels good to know how supportive all the fans were while I was in the hospital as well as my wife who has been by my side thru it all.”

His wife Darlene believes the Conjunto icon is ready to get back out there and return to performing music for his many fans on his recently announced Rise Of The Phoenix Tour.

“I’m nervous but it feels good to be on stage again,” added Jaime.

He has been working on new music that will feature a few surprises and special guests which he hopes to release soon.
