Roger Velasquez and the Latin Legendz will premiere the official music video for their collaboration with film and television star Jesse Borrego, “Amor del Otro Lado,” during the 41st annual Tejano Music Awards, to be aired on select Sinclair Broadcast Group stations across the state of Texas.
The video, directed by Borrego, will debut during the virtual broadcast of the “Biggest Night in Tejano Music” which will air on WOAI-TV News 4 in San Antonio at 8pm CT, as well as sister stations in Abilene, Corpus Christi, El Paso, Harlingen, and San Angelo. It will feature cinematography from Aaron Lopez of Mutt Productions.
The stunning and soaring visual upholds a tradition of unforgettable and cinematic music videos from the Latin Grammy Award-winning Roger Velasquez and the Latin Legendz, upping the ante yet again.
“Amor del Otro Lado” is the first cut on the latest album from Roger Velasquez & The Latin Legendz, Visión 20/20, from the VDiscos record label. It was written and produced by Velasquez, recorded, and engineered by Joe Trevino at Blue Cat Recording Studio in San Antonio, Texas.
“Good songs tell good stories,” Borrego said in a statement. “The music Roger and the Latin Legendz created; spoke to me of a beautiful soul in a natural setting. The ideal beloved. Beyond bridges and borders, in harmony with the story, Roger and I sang.”
Borrego has starred in many films, including Blood In Blood Out, Mi Vida Loca, Colombiana, and Con Air. He has been featured in hit TV shows like Fame, Dexter, and 24.
Roger Velasquez & The Latin Legendz received a nomination for the 41st annual Tejano Music Awards with the collaboration “Entierrenme En Tejas” featuring Sunny Sauceda.
