The 57-year-old father and 33-year-old son were very close, according to an interview with Tejano Nation. “My dad is my best friend, and it brings us even closer sharing the same passion for Conjunto music,” said Izzy Treviño III. “It’s truly a beautiful feeling being able to share the stage with my father like he did with his, and I will do the same with my son. I’ve seen and played with a lot of different bass players over the years, but my pops is still my favorite. We know each other’s style, so our groove is always solid.”
